 With 9 giant parade balloons, 10 bands, 8 floats, the PAW Patrol, vintage cars, superheroes, fire trucks & police vehicles and more- this year's parade has something for everyone!
New Rochelle’s 58th annual Thanksgiving Parade will kick off Saturday at 10:00am on North Avenue at Eastchester Road, and proceed entirely along North Avenue, crossing Main Street, and ending at Bonnefoy Place. Come cheer on Mighty Mouse and friends and applaud our honorees, City Manager Chuck Strome and former Parks Commissioner Bill Zimmermann; and celebrate the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce's 100th Anniversary.
Temporary street closures and detours will be in effect along the parade route starting at 6:00am. Please observe the no parking signs, as cars parked on the route will be towed.
Before the parade, fuel up at the Fund for Educational Excellence annual Pancake Breakfast from 8:00am to 9:30am in the House IV cafeteria at New Rochelle High School.
DPW Holiday collection next week
Thanksgiving week will follow a holiday collection schedule, with garbage and trash picked up in the North End on Monday and South End on Tuesday, and commingled recycling citywide on Wednesday. There will be no pickup on Thursday or Friday, November 24 and 25.
Westchester County Shredder- Now Saturday Dec. 10
The mobile shredder originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19 has been rescheduled to Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 10AM to 1PM in the parking lot behind City Hall. Residents can bring up to four file-sized (10”x12”x15”) boxes of confidential papers per household. Shredder guidelines
Train Station makes room for Holiday Market: taxi drop-off area closed starting 11/21
Starting Monday November 21, the taxi drop-off area in front of the New Rochelle train station building and the parking spaces closest to the Metro North tracks will be closed for construction of New Rochelle’s second annual Holiday Market. The front kiss-and-ride lot will remain open for taxi and passenger vehicle use. The Holiday Market kicks off on Friday, December 2.

2023 Proposed Budget released
The balanced budget maintains service levels and is in compliance with NYS tax cap legislation. A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for December 6.

Please place leaves in biodegradable paper bags or open containers weighing no more than 75 lbs.
Yard waste collection has ended. Please DO NOT mix branches in with fall leaves.
