Montefiore New Rochelle will provide FREE breast screenings to the un/underinsured members of our community on Saturday, October 22 at the Breast Center located at 23 Washington Avenue.

Fall Youth Employment
Building on the tremendous success of its Summer Youth Employment program, the New Rochelle Youth Bureau has launched a similar program for six weeks during November and December. Open to youth and young adults ages 14-24.

NRFD Awards & Promotions Ceremony
Chief Sandor presided over the event honoring members for dedication, bravery and heroism, and welcoming new Lieutenants Gary Bruzzese, Simon Mobiglia, Chris Mohrmann, Babatunde Ogunleye, Jason Costa, Durette Tyler and John Williams.

Ryan Sinkfield Park & Playground Dedication
On Friday October 7, family, friends and community gathered to dedicate a new park and playground on Brook Street in memory of Ryan Sinkfield, a vivacious five-year-old who passed in 2020.

Youth Bureau launches "Grandpas United" mentoring program
Volunteer grandpas wanted for a new intergenerational mentoring program matching granddads with New Rochelle boys and young men ages 8-21.

First-time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program
Learn more about New Rochelle's generous program that provides financial assistance to low to moderate income first-time homebuyers.
A Spanish Information session will be held on November 4 (Co-op and Condo Informational session).

Flu and COVID vaccine boosters
The Westchester County Health Department will offer both the flu vaccine and COVID-19 bivalent booster by appointment every Monday and Friday in October from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 134 Court Street in White Plains.
