A Heat Advisory is in effect. Take precautions.
With a heat advisory now in effect for Westchester County and hot weather predicted for next week, residents are urged to be careful, especially when outside. While staying home in air conditioning is the safest option for the elderly during hot and humid weather, the Hugh Doyle Senior Center is open to seniors 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays. The New Rochelle Public Library also operates as a cooling center. Check their hours at www.nrpl.org.
Input needed for flooding and drainage analysis
To more fully identify drainage problem locations across the City's six watersheds, the City is soliciting input from property owners who have experienced severe flooding. A fillable form on the City website www.newrochelleny.com/flooding contains fields for uploading photos and videos and noting the locations of problem areas.
Basketball Camp and Tournament- Sat. 8/6 at Lincoln Park
This full-day event kicks off at 10AM with a Basketball Clinic for children ages 7-14. Trainers, players, coaches, and former local pro & collegiate athletes will be lending their services to work with the local youth community. Space still available!
Starting at 2PM, fans are invited to enjoy an adult basketball team tournament featuring the top teams in the NYC metro area.
