Celebrate July 4th! 

Fireworks by Grucci begin at 9:00pm on Monday, July 4th, rain or shine, with great viewing from Hudson and Five Islands Parks. Just before and after the fireworks, streets in the vicinity of the parks will be closed to cars so that pedestrians can walk safely. Parking will also be limited, so please plan ahead.

City offices are closed on Monday.  Next week, the Department of Public Works will follow a  holiday collection schedule

Pinebrook Tennis Center Reopens

The New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new and improved tennis courts at Pinebrook Tennis Center. 

Annual tennis cards are available to New Rochelle residents. To renew or purchase a card, visit New Rochelle Parks office at 515 North Ave. Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, or email info@newrochelleny.com. To learn more visit www.NewRochelleNY.com/Tennis.

Sound the alarm

Smoke detectors save lives. Get one free through Red Cross 

Smoke alarms save lives, and the City of New Rochelle is partnering with the American Red Cross “Sound the Alarm” program to bring free smoke alarms to those in need in our community. First Annual 'Taste of Union Avenue' Saturday July 16

The City of New Rochelle Department of Development and the Hispanic American Advisory Committee present the First Annual Taste of Union Avenue. Enriching and fun activities including entertainment, live music, children’ s games, and arts and crafts, along with a variety of ethnic foods from all of Latin America. Weekend closure of Hutchinson River Parkway 7/9-11

12AM Friday July 9 to 5AM Monday July 11, weather permitting

The New York State Department of Transportation is advising Westchester County motorists that the Hutchinson River Parkway will be closed in both directions from Exit 4A (Interstate 95) in the Village of Pelham Manor to Exit 8 (Cross County Parkway) in the City of New Rochelle.  The closure will take place from approximately 12 a.m. Saturday morning, July 9 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 11, weather permitting.
