New York State COVID-19 Update

Beginning yesterday, all New York residents who are 30+ are eligible to receive the vaccine!

Universal eligibility goes into effect on Tuesday, April 6 for all New Yorkers age 16 +.

Alternate Side Parking

Alternate side enforcement resumes April 1

Alternate side of the street parking restrictions will resume Citywide on Thursday, April 1. Please observe posted signs and relocate vehicles to allow for street sweeping.

 

Yard Waste Collection

Yard waste collection begins April 5

The Department of Public Works Bureau of Streets & Highways will begin collection the first Monday in April and continue through the last Friday in October. Place materials at the curb by 7 a.m. (6am during summer months) on the scheduled collection day, or after 10PM on the night before. Learn more about collection days and guidelines

 

Leaf blower reminder

City Code allows for use of leaf blowers up until May 31 at the following times: weekdays between 8AM-5PM and Saturdays and Sundays 10AM-5PM.


VNY Parks Cleanup

Volunteers needed for citywide parks clean-up weekend

Volunteer New York! and the City of New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department will team up on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25 for a weekend of service at eleven neighborhood and waterfront sites.

Speak Up Westchester

Westchester County launched #SpeakUpWestchester, a campaign encouraging residents to speak up if they become victim or witness a hate crime, bias or hate incident. Here are some important numbers to have to report an incident: 

  • If you need emergency assistance call 911
  • If you were the victim of a violent attack, call NRPD 914-654-2300.
  • If you were the victim of an incident of bias, hate or discrimination, call the Westchester County Human Rights Commission (914) 995-7710 or send an e-mail to humanrights@westchestergov.com. Alternatively, you may report incidents of bias, hate, or discrimination anonymously (or with your contact information) using the form, www.westchestergov.com/biasreporting.
  • If you are a victim or witnesses of a hate crime or bias incident call (914) 995-TIPS or visit www.westchesterda.net.
