Restrictions

New Rochelle's Yellow Zone designation was removed on Wednesday January 27, 2021 when Governor Cuomo announced modifications to the micro-clusters as the number of new cases and hospitalizations have decreased across the state. All Orange Zone restrictions, and most Yellow Zone restrictions, have been lifted statewide.

Existing statewide restrictions remain in place for ALL areas, including areas no longer in orange and yellow zones. To be clear, all of those requirements that exist as a result of COVID-19 regulations continue across the state, including, but not limited to:

  • Bars, restaurants, gyms and fitness centers, as well as any State Liquor Authority-licensed establishment, must close in-person service from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily at 10 p.m.
  • Restaurants may seat as many individuals at a single table as the table allows, with a maximum of 10 individuals per table. Individuals seated at a table must be members of the same party but may be from different households.
  • Restaurant indoor and outdoor tables separated by a minimum of six feet in all directions. Wherever distancing is not feasible between tables, restaurants must enact physical barriers between such tables.
  • 50% cap on restaurant capacity for indoor dining
  • Delivery and Curbside Pick-Up without Alcohol May Continue After 10 PM
  • 33 percent cap on gym occupancy
  • limit on private residential gatherings to 10 people
  • non-residential gatherings are restricted to no more than 50
  • 50 percent cap of occupancy in retail establishments
  • employees of personal care industries such as hair salons are required to be tested every two weeks
  • masks are still required in public when social distancing is impossible to maintain.
