This is to confirm that we have received your application for unemployment insurance (UI) benefits.
We are working diligently on your claim and are processing it in the order in which it was received. It typically takes 2-4 weeks to begin receiving UI benefits if you are eligible. Complex claims, claims missing information, or if you lost employment for any reason other than lack of work it will take longer for the review process.
Please be assured that you will receive all the benefits you are eligible for. When your status changes, you will receive a message that it is time to take the next step and certify for your benefits.
If you are eligible for benefits on your new claim, you will not be paid for the first full week (four days) of unemployment for which you certified. The first full week is called a waiting period. The waiting period extends into the next week if you work or are otherwise not eligible during part of the first week.
