INCIDENT: Fatal Crash

North Las Vegas, Nevada – One man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in North Las Vegas.

Around 5:35 p.m., April 19, 2013, dispatch received reports of a two-vehicle crash on Craig Road and Home Depot Drive, just east of Martin Luther King Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man trapped inside a Ford sedan that had struck a light pole. Medical arrived and pronounced him dead on scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a Ford sedan, driven by a 54-year-old man was traveling eastbound on Craig Rd. slowing to make a right hand turn into the commercial shopping center. A Hyundai SUV driven by 27-year-old Courtney Hildinger was also traveling eastbound on Craig Road. The SUV rear-ended the Ford, causing it to strike the light pole fatally injuring the man. Hildinger suffered no injuries in the crash.

Evidence suggests Hildinger was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. She was arrested and booked on one felony count of D.U.I. with death. See attached booking photo.

This is the 3rd fatal crash in North Las Vegas.
