The Nevada Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run

North Las Vegas, NV - The 20th Annual Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Relay Run from Las Vegas to Carson City will begin in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 7:30 a.m. at Police Memorial Park, located on Cheyenne and Academy Way (95 to Cheyenne, West to Academy Way).

The 20th annual Memorial Run is being organized as a means to bring recognition to National Police Memorial Week (May 11-15, 2019) and all Nevada law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. Each leg of the Memorial run represents an Officer listed on the Nevada Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. As of 2019, 134 names are now engraved on the Memorial, therefore 134 legs will be run during this week.

This year the North Las Vegas Police Department will have about 20 officers participate in the run along with North Las Vegas Police Chief Pamela Ojeda and Assistant Chief Clint Ryan. The North Las Vegas Police Department cherishes its role in this event and knows firsthand the importance this event brings to every officer and their families.

The last leg of the relay will culminate in Carson City on Thursday, May 2, 2019, with the Nevada law Enforcement Officers Memorial Ceremony at 1:00 p.m.

If you have any questions about the North Las Vegas Police Department's involvement in the event please call the Public Information Office at (702) 633-1824.
