NLVPD Shop with a Cop Event
North Las Vegas, Nevada –The North Las Vegas Police Department and Target will hold their annual Shop with a Cop event from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. This year's event will give approximately 40 children the chance to shop at Target alongside a North Las Vegas Police Officer or Marshal who has volunteered to be their "personal shopper."
The Shop with a Cop event will begin outside the store as Santa Claus arrives in a parade of flashing police vehicles. Santa will also lend himself to having his photo taken with the children.
This year's participants include children from a variety of organizations to include: Candlelighters of Southern Nevada, Positively Kids and the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation all committed to the assistance and support of terminally and medically fragile children.
Funding for this holiday shopping spree has been provided through monetary donations by businesses and citizens of North Las Vegas. As a result of these generous donations, each child will be provided at least $200.00 to spend.
