Homicide Investigation
North Las Vegas, Nevada - One man is dead following a robbery over the weekend in North Las Vegas.
On Saturday, September 16, 2017, at about 7:00 a.m., officers responded to the AMPM, located at 300 West Lake Mead Boulevard regarding a robbery. Arriving officers located one unresponsive adult male suffering from critical injuries. Medical personnel arrived and transported the victim to UMC Trauma where he was later pronounced deceased.
The preliminary investigation indicates a white female went into the business and stole miscellaneous merchandise from the store. The female then walked out of the store and got into a dark colored Jeep Grand Cherokee, with unknown California license plates, which was parked in front of the store. As she was driving away a concerned citizen attempted to intervene when he was struck by the suspect's vehicle. See the attached photo of the female suspect and suspect vehicle.
The suspect was described as a heavy set white female adult with reddish blonde hair, last seen wearing a gray/black zip up sweater, blue jeans, black sandals and a black purse.
The suspect vehicle was described as being a dark colored Jeep Grand Cherokee with an unknown California license plate, last seen heading westbound on Lake Mead Boulevard.
The coroner will release the name and cause and manner of death after notification of next of kin.
