CSN and City of North Las Vegas to unveil new CSN North Las Vegas Campus sign

North Las Vegas, Nevada — Please join College of Southern Nevada President Michael D. Richards and North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee for the unveiling of the new CSN North Las Vegas Campus sign.

Mayor Lee first proposed the name change to help connect the campus to the community, prompting the College of Southern Nevada’s Institutional Advisory Council to explore the concept. The council made up of business and community leaders recommended the change to enhance local branding and increase connectivity with the municipality and its business and residents. The Board of Regents approved the campus name change in June.

“We are proud to showcase our new sign, which serves as a substantive symbol of our great partnership with the City of North Las Vegas,” said CSN President Richards. “I am grateful to Mayor Lee for his vision to make this happen, CSN’s Institutional Advisory Council for their recognition of the importance of this transition and the Board of Regents for its support to make it happen.”

“We have worked hard to bring to the City of North Las Vegas some of the world's most exciting companies that will employ tens of thousands of Nevadans, and aligning CSN into the North Las Vegas brand helps our community better promote our school as a workforce training engine of our community,” Mayor Lee said.

CSN, one of the largest employers in the city, and the City of North Las Vegas coordinate projects on a number of shared objectives that officials hope the new campus name will underscore, including new dual enrollment opportunities started this fall in concert with the Clark County School District at Mojave High School.

The City of North Las Vegas worked with the signage company, Yesco, to change the college’s monument sign to reflect the new name. The project was entirely funded by Yesco and no other costs are associated with the name transition.
