North Las Vegas promotes City’s first female Building Official
North Las Vegas, Nevada — North Las Vegas City Manager Dr. Qiong Liu is pleased to announce that the City of North Las Vegas has promoted Valarie Evans to the position of Building Official.
Evans is the City of North Las Vegas’ first female Building Official. She most recently served as the City’s Acting Building Official.
Evans has been employed with the City for 15 years and has held various positions as Inspector, Combo Inspector and Plans Examiner. She is recognized as a Master Code Professional by the International Code Council and possesses numerous certifications, including Certified Building Official. In addition, Evans recently obtained her Fire Inspector 1 certification through the National Fire Protection Association and maintains certification as a Master Electrician.
Evans will be paid $87,573 annually.
