North Las Vegas, NevadaPolice arrest one man who was involved in an attempt to kill a police officer.

On Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at about 9:00 a.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Partegus Street regarding a disturbance at a home.  It was reported that three men broke into a home, hit a woman and stole various items.  The preliminary investigation indicates the suspects knew the victim.  One officer arrived on scene and saw the three suspects fleeing the area in a sport utility vehicle.  The officer, a 15-year veteran of the department, attempted to stop the suspect vehicle when he realized the suspects were shooting at him.  The suspects later stopped the car near the intersection of Craig Road and Decatur Boulevard and fled the area.  In a neighboring jurisdiction, two of the suspects stole a landscaping truck from the owner and fled the area. Those two suspects were described as a black male adult and a white male adult.  The stolen truck was described as a gray GMC Sierra, with Nevada plate #214YWW, which was pulling a black landscaping trailer.

A short time later the third suspect, identified as 28-year-old Mark Norsingle, was taken into custody.  He was booked at the Las Vegas City Jail on one count of attempted murder of a police officer and felony evading.  See his booking photo attached below.

The officer involved in this incident did not sustain any injuries and did not fire his weapon.  The woman sustained non-life threatening.
