Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with live mariachi, rock and Latin music and cultural performances.
Join us for a vibrant cultural celebration featuring live performances, local vendors, food and beverages. Presented in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate, the celebration will feature live performances showcasing the sounds and traditions of Mexico and Latin music, along with cultural entertainment and special presentations leading up to the traditional El Grito de Dolores ceremony.
The evening will conclude with live music and dancing for the community to enjoy. No glass containers or pets, please. Free and open to the public of all ages.

Desmother is a Las Vegas-based Latin band that just started, driven by the goal of sharing their Mexican culture and a fusion of Latin rhythms with a rock twist.
This talented family band, comprised of Sandra Rojas Garcia on drums, Luis Fernando Gil Rojas on keyboards and Josue Gil as the guitarist and frontman, brings together their diverse musical backgrounds to create a captivating and genre-defying sound. With a seamless blend of rock and various types of Latin rhythms, such as salsa, cumbia and reggaeton, Desmother takes their audiences on an exhilarating musical journey that transcends boundaries and defies categorization.

Since 2021, the award-winning Mariachi Alas Doradas of Keller Middle School has proudly served the Las Vegas community through performances, educational outreach and cultural collaborations. Under the direction of Miriam Vázquez and Emily Vargas, the first female mariachi director duo in the Clark County School District, the ensemble is committed to preserving and sharing the rich tradition of mariachi while bringing together young musicians from diverse backgrounds.
Mariachi Alas Doradas has earned recognition at the local, state and national levels, including first place at the 2024 Encuentro del Mariachi at University of California Berkeley, second place at the 2026 Mariachi Extravaganza National Competition, and first place at the 2026 University of San Diego National Mariachi Competition. The ensemble also earned a unanimous superior-plus rating at the 2026 Clark County School District Advanced Mariachi Festival.
More than a competitive ensemble, Mariachi Alas Doradas proudly serves as a musical and cultural ambassador for Nevada, inspiring young musicians while celebrating culture, community and the enduring tradition of mariachi music.
