Las Vegas City Council To Recognize Community Partners Sept. 2

Citizen Of The Month To Be Honored

 

    The Las Vegas City Council will recognize two community partners at the Sept. 2, 2026, City Council meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of Las Vegas City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

 

    Mayor Pro Tem Olivia Diaz will recognize David Raanan, who has been working to build community to make life better in the Gateway District in downtown Las Vegas. Raanan works with the Safe Village Initiative in partnership with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Downtown Area Command.

 

    In addition, Ward 2 Councilwoman Kara Kelley is scheduled to recognize Joyce Haldeman’s work in the community. Haldeman serves as director of the Las Vegas Metro Public Affairs Council for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

 

    The council meeting will be broadcast live on city of Las Vegas TV, and on the city of Las Vegas TV YouTube channel.
