Las Vegas Mayor Berkley To Hold News Conference Thursday

Fireworks Safety Tips Will Be Provided By Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief

 

    Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. Thursday July 2, in the Mayor’s Conference Room, located at 495 S. Main St. Mayor Berkley will be joined by Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief Sherri Shoup to provide safety information for those planning to set off fireworks for the Independence Day holiday.

 

    The mayor will discuss her previous week’s activities and take questions from reporters. Mayor Berkley holds news conferences on a regular basis. In addition, Mayor Berkley will provide details on the city of Las Vegas “Blast Off in the Basin” Fourth of July celebration and fireworks show.

 

    Credentialed media members are urged to arrive early to conduct audio checks. Media should also plan to bring audio cables so that they can plug in for sound. The news conference will begin at 10 a.m. and media must be in place no later than 9:50 a.m.

 

    Media will meet in the City Hall lobby, where a public information officer will escort them to the news conference.

 

    The news conference will be streamed live on city of Las Vegas TV, and on the city of Las Vegas TV YouTube channel.
