Everyone is invited to bring their dogs on a leash and join Ward 3 Councilwoman Olivia Diaz at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 4, for the ribbon-cutting and opening of a new dog park in Ward 3. Located at 4484 E. Washington Ave., adjacent to the East Las Vegas Family Park on East Washington near Lamb Boulevard (see the site map), the dog park includes two dog waterers and three fenced dog runs, each with landscaping, lighting, shade structure, seating, concrete walkways and a perimeter fence. See the rendering.

“Many families living near the East Las Vegas Family Park asked for a dog-friendly space for their four-legged friends,” said Councilwoman Diaz. “I am thrilled that this project is now complete and ready for our residents and their dogs to enjoy.”

JNJ Engineering Construction built the park for a final cost of $1,615,359 from the city of Las Vegas general fund. AtkinsRealis was the design consultant.
