City Of Las Vegas 2026 Summer Season Pool Schedules & Events

Swim Lessons & Aquatic Teams Registration Open Now!

 

     The city of Las Vegas will open the Carlos L. Martinez & Darrio J. Hall Family Pool at Gary Reese Freedom Park (CMDH) for the summer season Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25, from noon to 6 p.m. each day. Pavilion Center Pool will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. Friday through all day Monday, May 25. Municipal Pool will be open 12-5 p.m. Saturday, closed May 24-25. All city pools will be closed May 30 for summer staff training. The remaining city of Las Vegas seasonal pools will open for the summer in June. See specific pool hours and locations below.

 

     The public is invited to enjoy swim lessons, competitive aquatics teams for youth, dive-in movies, fitness events and themed pool parties at selected pools. Free sunscreen is available from dispensers at city pools, courtesy of Comprehensive Care Centers of Nevada. Pools may close occasionally for private special events, training or facility maintenance/repair. See pool rules here.

 

     One-month and three-month pool passes are on sale now for city of Las Vegas pools. Three-month passes are priced at $70 for ages 18-49 and $35 for ages 4-17 and 50+; one-month passes cost $30 for ages 18-49 and $15 for ages 4-17 and 50+. Passes are valid at all six city of Las Vegas pools. Pool passes currently are for sale at Municipal Pool, Pavilion Center Pool and all city recreation centers, and will be sold at seasonal pools when they open. Classes and special events have a separate fee.

 

     Daily pool fees for individuals at city pools are: 

  • Ages 3 and younger – free
  • Ages 4-17 - $2
  • Adults age 18-49 - $3
  • Seniors age 50+ - $2

     “Learn to Swim” lessons are offered at all pools; discounted $5 group session swim lessons are offered at Baker Park, CMDH and Doolittle pools. Registration for free group swim classes for children age 4 and younger is available at selected pools while grant funds last. Inquire at the pool; registration for free classes is required in person at the pool, as the scholarship cannot be applied online.

 

     Registration for swim lessons for all ages is available online here. Splash aquatics teams or Summer Sports Sampler for ages 7-17 will be offered in two sessions of four weeks each beginning the first week of June at all city pools, including water polo, artistic swimming, springboard diving and competitive swimming, for $30 each. (Baker, Doolittle and CMDH pools offer a sports sampler, with two weeks of each sport.) Registration for these Splash teams is available online now. Financial assistance is available for team sports and group swim lessons for city of Las Vegas residents who meet the qualifications. Apply for financial assistance here.

 

     The summer pool schedule is below. Those who enter the pool are required to wear proper swim attire (no shorts, cut-offs, etc.) per the Health District code. All children under 48 inches tall or under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the water, one adult per child. Coast Guard-approved life jackets in infant and adult sizes are available for day use at all city pools. Please note hours of open swim are subject to change.

  • Baker Pool, 1020 E. St. Louis Ave., 702.229.1532. The pool will be open May 31-Aug. 9, with these opportunities:
    • Open swim 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 12-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
    • $5 group swim lessons available.
    • Swim lessons 3-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
    • The pool will be closed June 19 and June 27.
    • The pool will close at 4 p.m. July 4 and July 18.

    • 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday-Friday for all ages recreational swim.
    • 4-7 p.m. adult open swim Monday-Friday.
    • 12-5 p.m. Saturday for all ages recreational swim; closed Sundays. The pool will close at 6 p.m. June 19, and at 4 p.m. July 4 and July 19.
    • Lifeguard Certification classes May 26-29, June 2-5, June 9-12, June 23-26.

Summer Pool Special Events Open To The Public

 

Junior Lifeguard Camp (ages 11-14)

Camp sessions: June 1-5, June 8-12, June 22-26, July 6-10, July 20-24, Aug. 3-7.

Each five-day camp is Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Cost: $150 per week per camper

This fun camp is great for youth that enjoy swimming and may want to become a lifeguard. Upon successful completion of the camp, participants will earn a Junior Lifeguard certification and have learned essential pool lifesaving skills. Participants need to bring with them a swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, lunch, snacks and beverages each day. Advance registration required.

 

Splashtastic Inflatable Fun!

Fridays, June 5, 19, July 17, 31 and Aug. 7; 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Cost: $4 wristband

The Game Before the Big Game Water Polo (ages 14+)

Saturday, June 6, 2-4 p.m.

Cost: $4 to play; spectators are free.

Dive In Movie Night! (ages 4+)

Saturdays, June 13, July 11, and Aug. 15; doors open 4:30 p.m., showtime 5-7 p.m.

Babysitter Training (ages 11-15)

This two-day class covers essential childcare skills and safety measures for those who want to qualify as certified babysitters. Register at the pool or online here for June and here for July.

 

Run and Inflatable Fun! (ages 7+)

Saturdays, June 20 & July 18; check in 7:30 a.m., race begins at 8 a.m.

Cost: $10

The event will begin with a 1-mile fun run around the campus of Pavilion Center Pool and will conclude with a few runs across our inflatable obstacle course in the pool. There is no age limit, but participants must be able to pass a 25-yard swim test to go on the inflatable. Register at the pool or online here for June and here for July.

Dash & Splash (ages 7+)

Saturday, Aug. 15; 7:30 a.m. check-in, race begins at 8 a.m.

Cost: $10.

Begin the event with a 1.5-mile run that starts at the pool and cool off afterward with a 300-meter swim. No age limit, but participants must be able to swim 100 meters successfully. Register at the pool or online here.
