City Of Las Vegas Moves Forward With Improvements To Angel Park
Improvements Include A New Water Play Area
Ward 2 Councilwoman Kara Kelley will join the team from JNJ Engineering to officially break ground on improvements to Angel Park Tuesday, May 19, at 9 a.m.
Angel Park is located at 241 S. Durango Drive and has long been a favorite recreational location for nearby residents.
The $2.6 million improvement project will include a brand-new water play area as well as new restroom facilities and a new shade structure. The improvements are scheduled to be completed in early 2027.
“Angel Park is a well-used recreational area, and I’m excited that we have the opportunity to improve the park for Ward 2 residents,” Councilwoman Kelley said. “I know that a new water play area will be very popular for families with small children during our hot summers.”
Angel Park already features tennis courts, a fitness court, walking paths and a playground. The park will remain open during construction.
JNJ Engineering is the contractor on the project, and the city of Las Vegas is managing the construction.
