The Tony Award-winning musical upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan becomes the boy who would not grow up, better known as Peter Pan. The story explores themes of greed, despair, friendship, duty and love. A young orphan and his companions are sent from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. During the voyage, the boys encounter Molly, a precocious young girl training to become a starcatcher. When pirates led by the fearsome Black Stache seize the ship, the journey turns into a fast-paced and thrilling adventure.

The best of Broadway blockbuster, off-Broadway gems and international showstoppers, all served with a dash of drama and a wink of intrigue.

Bring a blanket or low-backed chair to be more comfortable on the plaza, but leave your pet at home. Nearby parking is available across the street at the 500 S. Main St. garage.

Rising at the heart of the outdoor plaza, the new sculpture’s transparent, layered form shifts with the daylight and comes alive at night through programmed LED lighting. Enjoy performances by Mundo Juillerat and Martin St. Pierre – musicians with "Mystere" by Cirque du Soleil, followed by speakers at 6 p.m. Hear from the artist, Cliff Garten. Nearby parking is available at 500 S. Main St. garage; request your two-hour validation sticker at the event.

Jazz Under the Stars Concert

Bring the whole family to enjoy a free jazz concert featuring renowned jazz vocalist Naomi Mauro! Relax under the stars as the city’s most acclaimed big band, the Jazz Vegas Orchestra, dazzles with iconic Big Band standards and new music from celebrated local arrangers. 

Bring chairs and blankets to be more comfortable on the lawn, but leave pets at home. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Helldorado Days Parade

Bring the family to enjoy the Helldorado Days Parade, an annual event celebrating Las Vegas and its history. Everyone is invited to line the parade route or sit in the grandstand to enjoy the two-hour parade.

Expect to see 10 school marching bands, Zelzah Shriner flivver cars, hundreds of costumed dancers, plenty of equestrian groups, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, school and business floats, the city’s Big Red fire truck and so much more. The grandstand is located at Fourth and Bridger Avenue and seats approximately 100 people. Food trucks behind the grandstand will offer refreshments for sale. Helldorado swag will be given away to parade attendees.  Bring a hat, folding chair, sunscreen, plenty of water and come enjoy the parade!

Farmers Market

The city of Las Vegas and the First Friday Foundation hold a farmers market every second and fourth Thursday of the month from 4 to 8 p.m. on the outdoor plaza at Las Vegas Civic Center. This area is just south of Las Vegas City Hall.

There will be many vendors, including local farms, food trucks and artists.
