Charity Drive For Local TSA Agents Through April 2
Mayor Shelley Berkley has put together a drive for items for Las Vegas TSA agents. As you have probably heard, these agents have been without pay for several weeks, pending legislative action in Washington, D.C. TSA agents serve in a critical safety role in our community and have continued to work, despite not being paid, to keep air travel flowing, which is a key to Las Vegas’ economy.
These residents are in need of:
- non-perishable food items like pasta, peanut butter and canned goods
- gas gift cards
- baby items like diapers and formula
- personal hygiene products like toiletries and soap
If you are able to help, please drop donations off with Zuri Gomez, the receptionist on the seventh floor of City Hall, by Thursday, April 2, at 4 p.m. Donations will be dropped off at the Reid Airport Pantry. Those without badge access to the seventh floor should stop by the first floor reception desk first. For more information, please visit the Reid Airport Pantry website.

Engineering Program Manager Tim Parks will retire Thursday, April 2. Tim began as an hourly employee in 1997, becoming full time in November 1998. He has been managing the Public Works Sanitary Sewer and Flood Control teams, who wish him only the best in his retirement!
