Construction Begins Aug. 18 On Summerlin Parkway Trail

Construction To Continue Approximately 18 Months

The city of Las Vegas will begin construction Aug. 18, 2025, on the installation of a shared use trail with lighting along Summerlin Parkway from Rampart Boulevard westward to the Clark County 215 Beltway. (See the map.) Construction will include erecting a pedestrian bridge across the wash west of Rampart and a pedestrian underpass at Crestdale Lane. Upon completion, the project will connect to the existing Beltway trail.

Most of the work will not affect roadway traffic, other than construction of the Crestdale Lane underpass. There will be occasional lane restrictions on Anasazi Drive, Town Center Drive and Rampart for work on pedestrian crossings. This $26 million project will take approximately 18 months to complete.

The city of Las Vegas has been developing trails for more than 20 years. The Trail Master Plan designates this trail alignment to provide connectivity between the Bonanza/Angel Park Trail and the multi-jurisdictional Beltway Trail adjacent to CC-215. See the city’s trails system map.

Las Vegas Paving is the contractor, and the project is being paid for with federal funds and Regional Transportation Commission tax funds. Those with questions during construction should call 702.808.5801.
