Youth Can Apply Now For City Of Las Vegas Youth Neighborhood Association Partnership Program Grants

Applicants Encouraged To Attend Grant Workshop In September

The city of Las Vegas Youth Neighborhood Association Partnership Program (YNAPP) offers grants of up to $2,000 for youth to create and implement neighborhood-based, service-learning projects of their own design. Applications open today.

The program requires youth to match the city’s grant with cash, volunteer time or in-kind services and goods donated to the project. Projects are required to take place within city limits. YNAPP youth acquire skills in leadership and teamwork while contributing to their communities. Youth are project leaders and work toward ways to make positive changes in their neighborhoods. Youth participants ages 8-18 (from neighborhood associations, social organizations, religious groups, educational institutions, etc.) are eligible to apply for YNAPP funding. The 2025-2026 application period is open Aug. 18 through Oct. 30, 2025. Application is made through Zoomgrants.com; details are available online here and at https://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Residents/Education/YNAPP-Grant.

Sample projects include, but are not limited to, developing care packages; youth art/mural projects; reading projects; services for the homeless; building Little Free Libraries; and community cleanups.

Applicants, particularly first-time applicants, are urged to attend one of two applicant workshops, either in person or virtually. The in-person applicant workshop is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at Las Vegas City Hall. To register, click here. The virtual applicant workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. To register, click here. If you miss this year’s workshop, please email tmanor@lasvegasnevada.gov for a link to view the recording.

Applications will be reviewed by the YNAPP board, whose members are appointed by the City Council. Applicants will be required to make a five-minute presentation to the YNAPP board in December 2025. Funding recommendations will be presented to the City Council for final approval in February 2026.

Technical assistance is provided to grant recipients by city staff, and monthly project reports are required until project completion. Grant recipients are required to sign a contract with the city of Las Vegas, outlining the group's project commitment. For more information or individual assistance, call Tara Manor at 702.229.5424 or email tmanor@lasvegasnevada.gov.
