Firefighter Trainee Applications Are Open!
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is an organization that values individuals with exceptional qualities. The Firefighter Trainee application process is open. Applications will be open through Sunday, July 13.

Our Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Explorers Program will begin its subsequent recruitment on Sunday, July 13, at the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Training Center - 633 N. Mojave Road.
This program supports the preparation of those aged 15-1/2 to 21 looking to become Firefighters. Explorers meet every Sunday from 6 a.m. to Noon to learn and hone their skills. This is a highly competitive program in which candidates must complete a physical examination, a written test and an interview. The top candidates will be extended an offer. This process is intended to mirror the firefighter application process, so, timeliness is essential. Doors will be locked at 11:59 a.m. and those not in the room will not be permitted to move forward in the process.

What are you willing to do to prepare for this career?
Individuals 14 years and older are welcome to join our community boot camp. Attendees will be able to meet LVFR staff, participate in a challenging workout with firefighters and learn how to prepare for the application process, the firefighter academy and various skills to support their long-term success.
Attendees should remember:
- Arrive at least 15 minutes early
- Dress in athletic attire and tennis shoes
- Arrive ready for a rigorous workout
- Please bring resources for notetaking
- Remember to hydrate the day before
This event is free and open to all. RSVPs are not required. Individuals under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to complete their waiver.
