“The City Of Las Vegas: The 1970s” To Premiere Saturday, May 17 On City Of Las Vegas TV
Marathon Of All the Documentaries In The City Of Las Vegas Decades Series Also To Air
“The City of Las Vegas: The 1970s” will premiere on Cable Channel 2 and on YouTube at city of Las Vegas TV Saturday, May 17, at 7 p.m. Funded by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial, the new film is the seventh in a series of documentaries exploring the history of Las Vegas.
The new documentary also will be aired on channel 2 May 18 at 2:30 p.m., May 19 at 3:30 p.m., May 20 at 1:30 a.m., May 22 at 2:30 p.m., May 23 at 9:30 a.m. and May 24 at 6 a.m.
Funded by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial, the first documentary episode, “The City of Las Vegas: The Early Years,” was released May 15, 2019, and focused on the founding and first 20 years of the community. All episodes were produced by Boyd Productions LLC and were released near May 15 each consecutive year, as that is the date of the anniversary of the founding of the city of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The entire decades series will be shown as a marathon May 16 and 18 on channel 2. Each of the documentaries, as well as other historical films, may be viewed on YouTube at the viewer’s convenience. The series will air May 16 from 4 to 11:30 p.m., partially on May 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. and May 18 from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The documentaries include:

- “The City of Las Vegas: The Thirties”
- “The City of Las Vegas: The Forties”
- “Las Vegas 1950s: What Was Las Vegas Like In The 1950s?”
