24-Hour Lane Restrictions To Raise Utilities And Add Lane Markings On New Pavement

Rainbow Boulevard between U.S. 95 and Smoke Ranch Road will be restricted to one through lane in each direction starting Monday, Oct. 28, and continuing through Friday, Dec. 20, 2024. Work on the current repaving project that began in July will continue Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with raising of utilities and installation of roadway delineation. Lane restrictions will be in place 24 hours/day until the project is completed.

Buffalo Drive or Torrey Pines Drive are recommended as alternate routes for north- and southbound traffic.

Preliminary work was completed consisting of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, including the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, curb and gutter.

Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $2 million, funded by the Federal Highway Administration and matched with Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax funds. Those with questions or concerns during the work may call 702.353.4294.
