They join Tim Hacker and Gary Ameling at the deputy city manager level, reporting to our new City Manager Mike Janssen. Our Chief Operations and Development Officer Tom Perrigo is retiring next month.

SmartLab Recognizes Kitty Warwick and Evelyn Hamilton
Public Safety staff Kitty Warwick and Evelyn Hamilton are the latest city staff to improve a process using SmartLab’s methods. After identifying inefficiencies in how signatures were gathered for missed timecards, Kitty and Evelyn created a spreadsheet that allows the DPS accounting team to easily identify which staff need to sign paper timecards while also reducing the amount of paper that needed to be printed and stored. Their improvement cut the overall time to complete the task by 80 percent! Thank you, Kitty and Evelyn!
SmartLab offers training and support for staff to improve the work that they touch every day by identifying and removing waste. To date, SmartLab has helped staff to save the city over 1,400 labor hours and $38,000 of expenses annually. To request training for you and your team or support with your process improvement projects, email SmartLabAdmin@lasvegasnevada.gov.
