New City Of Las Vegas YouTube Channel
We recently launched the brand new city of Las Vegas YouTube channel!
This channel will be dedicated to telling stories about Las Vegas that address some of the most searched-for questions about Las Vegas on Google and You Tube. There will be one or two longer stories of three to 10 minutes each week, as well as two or three short, vertical videos of less than 60 seconds each week. The videos also will appear on the city’s other communications platforms, like KCLV TV and our social media sites.
Please take a moment to check out the new You Tube channel. You may see some of your coworkers!

COVID Cases Remain Low
For the week ending Feb. 13, 2023, we have just five new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in the employee population. This compares to six new cases last week. This time, three departments had at least one employee test positive over the last seven days. Since the pandemic started, the total number of positive cases reported among the city workforce is now 1,697.
In other COVID-related news, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing changes to the vaccination strategy, recommending annual vaccinations similar to the flu shot. Aside from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) websites, information can also be found on www.covid.gov for resources/information.
With COVID not completely gone from the workplace, we want to make sure everyone knows when to get tested and what to do if you test positive. It remains vital that if you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you stay home and consult your health care provider. Should you test positive for the coronavirus, please notify your supervisor right away. If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources.
In addition, updated COVID-19 vaccines boosters are now available at Southern Nevada Health District clinic locations. At this time, if someone is seeking a booster dose, the individual should visit the clinic as a walk-in rather than making an appointment. The CDC still recommends wearing masks and increasing space and distance as needed.
