Spring Break Camp
March 13-17
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday
Youth in kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible for a week of 2023 spring break camp at the city's six community centers. Camp activities include arts and crafts, sports, games, music, life skills, physical fitness and fun, all supervised by trained adults. Prices vary by location. VIP & Me Dance

Cost: $20/couple plus $5 each additional child
Children and their very important parent/person can dance the evening away. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their favorite ‘fancy’ outfits. The event includes dancing, light refreshments and a photo booth. Recommended for, but not restricted to, children ages 4-11 years old and their VIP.

Youth Hockey League Registration Opens Feb. 27
$85 | Offered in age groups for those ages 7-14
Game Season: March 25-April 29
Veterans Memorial Community Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive
Register youth for a recreational indoor hockey league focused on the fundamentals of stick-work, team organization and positioning. Participants will be coached by our National Alliance for Youth Sports-certified volunteer coaches. Each team has one practice and one game each week; all games will be held at Veterans Memorial Community Center. All participants will receive a jersey as well as six weeks of officiated play. The league is played in an enclosed area inside a city facility. All participants are required to wear tennis shoes, shin and mouth guards.
Soccer League Registration Ends Feb. 18
$85 | Offered in age groups for those ages 3-14
Game Season: March 4-April 8
This recreational youth soccer league emphasizes the importance of physical health, teamwork and inclusion. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the sport from our National Alliance for Youth Sports-certified volunteer coaches during the one weekly practice and one weekly game. All participants will receive a full uniform (top, shorts and socks).

Becker Technology Center Grand Opening
March 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The center is currently under construction and is scheduled for a grand opening March 11, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a ribbon-cutting at 10:20 a.m. Now located in the former Charleston Heights Park, the new facility is the Ernest & Betty Becker Family Technology and Recreation Park.
The new center will include state-of-the-art equipment in a true tech-based facility. The community center will provide the infrastructure to accommodate high-tech uses, allowing youth, as well as adults, to create computer games, participate in esports, and produce high-quality video in front of a green screen. Local youth, along with representatives of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, deputy city marshals, local schools, esports business groups and area churches, provided input into the design of the facility.

Becker Technology Center Now Hiring
Ages 16+
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Makerspace Assistant (Senior Assistant).
The Makerspace Assistant is responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating youth and daily activities in the Becker Technology Center’s design lab in a variety of STEAM-based activities. The Makerspace Assistant may provide instruction and support for youth ages 4-18 interested in STEAM activities/programs, including tinkering, 3D/2D printing, programming, building, art, design, robotics, and other activities. The Makerspace Assistant will perform cashiering duties at the front desk as well as facilitate and supervise eSports activities.
