COVID Cases On The Rise
For the week ending Nov. 28, 2022, we have 13 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in the employee population. This is our highest weekly count since early August of this year. This compares to 10 new cases last week. Last week’s number ended our streak of 14 consecutive weeks with less than 10 positive cases. This time, eight departments had at least one employee test positive over the last seven days. Since the pandemic started, the total number of positive cases reported among the city workforce has increased to 1,602.
With the presence of COVID-19 cases in our workplaces, we want to make sure everyone knows when to get tested and what to do if you test positive. It remains vital that if you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you stay home and consult your health care provider. Should you test positive for the coronavirus, please notify your supervisor right away. If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources.
In addition, updated COVID-19 vaccines boosters are now available at Southern Nevada Health District clinic locations. At this time, if someone is seeking a booster dose, the individual should visit the clinic as a walk-in rather than making an appointment. Also, as we are about to enter the fall/winter holiday seasons, a reminder that the CDC still recommends wearing masks and increasing space and distance as needed.
