 Two-Alarm Fire At Sundance Village Apartments Under Investigation 

American Red Cross Assisting Displaced Residents

 

Las Vegas firefighters responded to the Sundance Village Apartments, 6500 W. Charleston Blvd, at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 after 9-1-1 dispatchers received numerous calls that an apartment building was on fire in the complex.

 

When firefighters arrived, two units of the two-story wood frame/stucco eight unit apartment building were heavily involved with fire. It appeared the fire had spread to the attic, so a second alarm was dispatched to the scene.

 

It took firefighters approximately one hour to bring the fire under control.

 

The fire caused extensive damage to three apartments, one apartment had heavy damage, four other apartments had minor smoke and water damage. Damage was estimated at $350,000.

 

The American Red Cross is assisting approximately 20 displaced residents.

 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

 

There were no reported injuries.

 

The Clark County Fire Department also assisted at the fire.
