COVID-19 Updates
COVID Cases Remain High
The number of positive COVID-19 cases among city employees is better than last week, but still growing at a worrisome pace. We had 11 confirmed cases over the last seven days. This compares to 19 cases the week before. The number of city employees to contract the coronavirus since the pandemic first started now stands at 512. Even more sobering, at least two city employees have now died from symptoms of COVID-19.
It remains vital that if you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you stay home and consult your health care provider. Should you test positive for the coronavirus, please notify your supervisor right away, despite the expiration of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) or if you have exhausted your Infectious Disease Leave. Human Resources has a plan in place to make sure work areas are then disinfected and potential contacts are notified.
