City Of Las Vegas Hiring For Safekey Program Positions
Recruitment Event July 7-8, 8:30 A.M. To 3:30 P.M. At 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North
The city of Las Vegas welcomes applicants to apply now for city Safekey positions that start July 22. Positions include Safekey site leaders and Safekey site assistants for programs in 70 elementary schools within city limits. The Safekey program offers before- and after-school enrichment for youth in kindergarten through fifth grade. Children are provided a safe and supervised environment to work on their homework and enjoy recreational activities, educational activities and a nutritious snack.
Positions average 19-25 hours per week with a pay range of $12-$14 per hour. Applicants must be able to commit to start work July 22, 2021.
The two-day recruitment event will be held at the city of Las Vegas Human Resources office, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Wednesday and Thursday, July 7-8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Applicants should be prepared for interviewing and hiring on the spot during the event. Any offer of employment will be conditional and subject to successful completion of a background investigation, including drug screening and fingerprint-based criminal background check, as well as clearance by the Child Abuse and Neglect Registry (NRS 432B.290).
Qualified applicants will be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent, and be certified in First-Aid and CPR by the start date.
