Fire Damages Las Vegas Apartment Overnight
Two People Treated For Minor Smoke Inhalation and Released
Las Vegas firefighters responded to the Lake Tonopah senior apartment complex early this morning.
Fire dispatchers received a number of calls that a fire was on the balcony of a second floor apartment at 2151 Citrus Hill Blvd at 3:31 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30. It took firefighters only a few minutes to put the fire out. The two story building has 16 apartments, the fire was confined to the balcony of one apartment.
Two people were treated for minor smoke inhalation and released on scene. Both were attempting to put the fire out using fire extinguishers and a pot of water.
The only occupant of the apartment escaped without injury and is displaced. The American Red Cross is assisting.
Damage is estimated at $25,000, damage was confined mostly to the outside balcony of one apartment.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
