City Of Las Vegas Announces Grants Available

To Nonprofit Organizations

Two-Year Funding Applications For CDBG & HOPWA Grants Available Online Now

 

     The city of Las Vegas grant application process will open at noon today for two-year funding for qualified nonprofit organizations for Community Development Block grants for public service only (CDBG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) grants. The Requests for Proposal, available for review and download on the city of Las Vegas website, have details on eligible applicants and requirements. The deadline for submitting completed applications is 3 p.m. PST Nov. 21, 2019. Applications will only be accepted through ZoomGrants. Funding will be allocated by the city of Las Vegas Office of Community Services.

 

     Priority consideration and funding will be given to applications addressing:

  • Homeless prevention and intervention services with a preference towards families with children, seniors, singles with noncustodial children and street homeless.
  • Seniors with a focus on maintaining independence.
  • Persons with special needs (includes HOPWA).
  • Youth programs that focus on academic skills and early childhood development.

TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS

 

     Organizations planning to apply for city of Las Vegas grants are required to attend one of the application workshops. Workshops are mandatory; applicants must attend a technical assistance workshop in order to apply for one of the available grants. An RSVP is required to attend; please contact Gina Candelario at gcandelario@LasVegasNevada.gov to register. All workshops will be held at Las Vegas City Hall, 495 S.
