City To Honor Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer For Lifetime Of Service To The Community  

Volunteerism At The Core Of Citizen Of The Month Recognition

 

     The City Council will recognize a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Officer as the Citizen of the Month at the Wednesday, Sept. 4, City Council meeting that begins following the 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in Council Chambers on the second floor of Las Vegas City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

 

     Ward 2 Councilwoman Victoria Seaman will recognize Officer Darryl McDonald, who has been a member of Metro Police for 10 years. McDonald grew up in Las Vegas and is currently a part of Metro’s Office of Community Engagement.

 

     When not working, McDonald volunteers in the community and at his church mentoring youth.
