Fire Heavily Damages Charleston Heights House
No Injuries Reported During Incident.
At 9:32 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, Las Vegas firefighters responded to 1001 Joseph Kerwin Dr. (Buffalo/Charleston). On arrival firefighters found heavy fire and smoke coming from a one story house. The fire was getting larger as firefighters arrived, it took firefighters approximately 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
The fire did extensive damage to the home, damage is estimated at $150,000.
Fire investigators believe the fire is cooking related.
There were no injuries in connection with the incident.
The exact number of occupants could not be determined, neighbors believe that two people lived there.
Firefighters from Clark County Fire Department and North Las Vegas Fire Department also assisted at the fire.
