New Las Vegas Traffic Signal To Go Fully Operational Sept. 13
Signal Located On Centennial Center Boulevard At Centennial Gateway Shopping Center

The city of Las Vegas will put a new traffic signal in Ward 6 into full operation early Thursday morning at Centennial Center and the Centennial Gateway commercial development (5610-5765 Centennial Center Boulevard), north of Ann Road just west of U.S. 95. Traffic signal and intersection improvements at the shopping center have been completed and a new signal will be put into full operation Sept. 13 at 2 a.m. This traffic signal was designed and constructed as part of developer contributions in accordance with the site traffic impact study, in order to improve access to and from the adjacent commercial sites.

City of Las Vegas Department of Public Works Traffic Engineering Field Operations staff will be on site with the contractor’s representatives to put the traffic signal into operation. Due to the location of this traffic signal and its proximity to adjacent traffic signals, as well as the amount of traffic on Centennial Center, the traffic signal will go directly into full red-yellow-green operation mode at 2 a.m. Thursday morning. The construction contractor is Fast Trac Electrical; the shopping center developer is TAG Centennial, LLC. Although the shopping center development has been completed for some time, traffic counts have only recently reached the level to warrant the traffic signal.
