Lane Closures On Rancho Drive At Washington Avenue Begin Aug. 26

Closures Part Of Ongoing Washington Storm Drain Project In Las Vegas

The nighttime closure of multiple lanes along both northbound and southbound Rancho Drive at Washington Avenue will begin Sunday, Aug. 26. The lane closures are required to enable installation of large, reinforced-concrete, box storm drain through the intersection. Note that all work will be performed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., and the intersection will be fully open during the day. This intersection work is expected to be completed by Friday, Sept. 14. This work is part of a larger project to improve storm drainage on Washington Avenue, now expected to be complete in October 2018.

Lanes on Washington from Robin Street to Baker Avenue (east and west of Rancho) will remain restricted to one vehicle travel lane in each direction for the duration of the project. Motorists should expect delays during the work. Drivers are encouraged to use Martin L. King Jr. Boulevard or Valley View Boulevard as alternate routes.

Tand, Incorporated is the contractor and the project is being paid for by Clark County Regional Flood Control District funds. Those with questions or concerns during the work should call 702-400-9010.
