City Council To Recognize Charitable Work Of Southern Nevada Police Athletic League

City Council To Also Recognize Gaming Companies For Community Service


The Las Vegas City Council will recognize the work of the Southern Nevada Police Athletic League at the Wednesday, Aug. 15, City Council meeting at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of Las Vegas City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

 

Councilman Stavros S. Anthony is scheduled to recognize the organization that has worked with thousands of at-risk youth in the city.

 

 In addition, Mayor Pro Tem Lois Tarkanian is scheduled to recognize several local gaming and hospitality companies that have contributed years of public service to Ward 1. Among the companies to be recognized are Station Casinos, Arizona Charlie’s, Golden Gaming and the Four Queens.

 

Finally, the City Council will also recognize the Employee of the Month.
