Summerlin Parkway Phase 3 Roadway Construction Final Paving Starts Sunday Night, July 8

Nightly Lane Closures Move Between Durango Drive And CC-215

During July Until Complete

Work on Summerlin Parkway from Durango Drive to CC-215 that began Jan. 15 will continue until the end of August. The final layer of asphalt paving is scheduled to begin Sunday night, July 8, weather permitting. During the remainder of July, there will be nightly changes to lane restrictions and various ramp closures to facilitate completion of the final asphalt paving. Work is ongoing during both daytime and nighttime hours to prepare for the paving.

For safety, the speed limit is reduced to 55 miles per hour in all work zones.

The majority of work to widen the roadway and install auxiliary lanes and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment (traffic cameras and communications to overhead signage and traffic signals), lighting improvements, a storm drainage system, other safety improvements, as well as grading, has been completed.

Las Vegas Paving is the contractor for this project, with oversight from the city of Las Vegas. This project has a $6 million budget, funded by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada Fuel Revenue Indexing and Question 10 sales tax funds. Residents with questions should telephone 702-353-4355 or email troy.oconnor@lasvegaspaving.com.
