New Las Vegas Traffic Signals Go Fully Operational June 12-13

Signals Located At 8410 Farm Road And On Skye Canyon Park Drive

Three new traffic signals will go into full operation this week. Traffic signal and intersection improvements at the Albertson’s shopping center at 8410 Farm Road, on the southeast side of the intersection of Farm Road/Durango Drive/El Capitan Way, have been completed and a new signal was put into full operation this morning at the Albertson’s development entrance/exit. This traffic signal was constructed as part of developer contributions with oversight from the city of Las Vegas and the Nevada Department of Transportation.

New traffic signals have been installed at the intersections of Skye Canyon Park Drive/Grand Canyon Drive and Skye Canyon Park Drive/Skye Park Drive as part of the new Smith’s development in the Skye Canyon master-planned community. The Smith’s store is scheduled for a grand opening Wednesday, June 13. It is expected that these two traffic signals will begin a four-way red flash operation Tuesday, June 12, following completion of final items by the contractor.  Full green-yellow-red operation activation is anticipated Wednesday morning, June 13. All of these signals were designed, constructed, and funded by developers of the adjacent shopping centers.
