Get Your
Tickets For The 15th Annual Las Vegas Senior Idol Showcase
Just $5 For June 21
Event At Charleston Heights Arts Center
The city of Las Vegas invites residents to purchase their
tickets now to enjoy the 15th annual Las Vegas Senior Idol Showcase.
The variety show will be held at the Charleston Heights Arts Center Thursday,
June 21, at 3 p.m. and will feature entertainment by amateur and professional
performers. Auditions were held May 8–10. Be prepared to laugh with a geriatric
“Elvis,” be wowed by the “Blues Brothers” tap dancing, and reminisce as “Roy
Orbison” sings to his guitar. A total of 25 different acts will sing, dance,
play music and make you laugh.
“This production by the Ward 5 Las Vegas Senior Center staff
has become an annual attraction,” said Ward 5 Councilman Cedric Crear. “The
show became so popular years ago, it had to be moved from the senior center to
the arts center, to have adequate seating. Even now, the show always sells
out.”
“This annual show is so popular and so much fun,” said Ward 1
Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian. “The price is right, the talent is great – just get
there early for the best seats and nearby parking. And now that the Charleston
Heights center has been renovated and the theatre has a new sound system, the
show should be even better!”
General admission tickets are priced at $5 and are available in
advance at all city of Las Vegas senior centers. The theatre has 359 seats and
room for six wheelchairs for the single performance at the Charleston Heights
Arts Center, located at 800 S. Brush St.
