Self-Guided Tour of Floyd Lamb Park (ages 6-99)
Available
daily during park hours.
Cost:
Free, just ask for self-guided map at the Gate House.

The custom
map of the park contains pictures with numerically ordered points of interests.

Gardening with Garden Farms (ages 6-adult)
Mondays, 9
to 10 a.m., April-June.
Free class
with $6 park entrance fee; military or veteran with valid ID are free.
Floyd
Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road.
Instructional
gardening class led by the highly knowledgeable Garden Farms staff.
Participants will be growing edible annuals and perennials, with special
attention given to the seed-to-harvest cycle, maintenance, preparation,

Walking Wednesdays (ages 6-99)
Every Wednesday at 9 a.m., April-June.
Cost:
Free walk participation; $6 park entrance fee is separate.
Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs Ranch House, 9200 Tule Springs Road.
Meet at
the Foreman’s Ranch House at 9 a.m. every Wednesday April-June for walk around
the park. Bring water; wear sunscreen, a hat and your walking shoes. Call

Kids
Summer Camp and Teen Adventure Camp
All locations will offer kids camp, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday-Friday*, excluding holidays. Teen Adventure Camp days may vary. Prices
vary by location and age group. A one-time, non-refundable $20 transportation
fee will be charged for each kids camp participant. Registration is open until
full. Mirabelli and Veterans Memorial will offer themed camps each week. For

There will be six sessions offered throughout the summer.
Upon successful completion of the camp, participants will earn a Junior Lifeguard certification, and learn essential pool life-saving skills. This fun camp is a great
environment for kids that may want to become a lifeguard. Participants
must bring with them each day to camp a swim suit, towel, and change of clothes, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Advance

Want some major
action and exercise this summer? Event will begin with a 1.5-mile run
from Pavilion Center Pool, winding through Veterans Memorial Park. Race will
conclude with a 300-meter swim in the pool. There is no age limit, but
participants must be able to swim 100 meters successfully. Minimum of 10
participants needed for this event. Advance registration required; use

Kappa Phi Journey of Hope Riders southern route team will arrive in Las Vegas for a welcome and
friendship visit at Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center en route to
Washington, D.C. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman will welcome the group. Team members will have lunch and
participate in a wheelchair basketball demonstration with local athletes from
the Las Vegas Yuccas team. Journey of Hope
is a cross-country bicycle trek beginning in Los Angeles and traveling to
Washington, D.C. They travel the county raising awareness for people with
disabilities. The group will also be participating in events with the
Adaptive Recreation Adult programs as well as the youth camp during their
visit.
15th Annual Las Vegas Senior Idol Showcase (all

This showcase features entertainment by
amateur and professional performers ages 50 and older who sing, dance, play
musical instruments and perform comedy. Tickets sell out every year for the
