May 2025
 Dear District G Residents,
Thank you for subscribing to my monthly newsletter. We generally focus on community engagement, including past and upcoming events. While we will continue including events and the like, starting with the June newsletter, we will highlight various departments across Clark County. We'll provide you with information on different issues (and how to report them) within our community, such as street light outages, short term rentals and more. And we will continue providing content from the cities of Henderson and Boulder City.
As always, do not hesitate to email me at DistrictG@clarkcountynv.gov or call my office at (702) 455-3500 with any questions or concerns you may have. You can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram and X.

We had a busy event schedule around District G in April. I hope you were able to come out to enjoy the activities.
On April 12, we held a Wetlands Sunrise Trailhead Clean-up event. Many thanks to all the volunteers that participated. Your community involvement is appreciated.
Our annual Egg-A-Palooza event in partnership with the Paradise Recreation Center on April 19th was the best one yet! Several hundred families came out to enjoy egg hunts, free food, bounce houses and jumpers, crafts, a DJ, a train, and more! Bonus, the weather was spectacular!
The Commissioners Cup Pickleball Tournament is a 2-day event we've held at Sunset Park each year for the past 5 years. On April 25th and 26th, more than 350 people competed this year in Mixed Doubles, Women's Doubles and Men's Doubles. Medals were presented to the winners in each category and skill level. We continue to grow this tournament each year and look forward to next April's event with even more participants.
Also on Saturday, April 26th, Wetlands Park held their annual BioBlast event to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day. This free event had about 400 attendees with children and families learning all about the various wildlife in Wetlands Park. There were games, activities and science stations for all to participate in.

Over 500 flags will be on display at Cornerstone Park throughout Memorial Day weekend as a symbol of patriotism, pride and reverence. Join City leaders along with your neighbors, local veterans and community organizations for the annual tradition, Field of Honor, on Monday, May 26 at 9am. This special ceremony honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our nation.
Join us for the Fire Station 81 Extreme Makeover grand opening on May 29 at 10am. By relocating this station to the former Camping World location on Boulder Highway, our firefighters will be able to respond to calls faster while saving money in lieu of building a new station from the ground up. After the ceremony, tour the station and meet the firefighters.
