 We invite you to support sustainability efforts by recycling your Christmas tree at 10 different locations between December 18-January 16. Flocked trees, artificial trees, and trees with decorations will not be accepted. Please bring your own shovel and container.
 Come say aloe to our 74th park, Blooming Cactus on January 16 at 11am during our ribbon-cutting ceremony. The 7-acre park was developed by Landwell Company and is the 3rd park located in the Cadence community. Blooming Cactus Park amenities include our first Ninja Warrior style fitness course, multi-use activity courts, an urban style vertical play structure and more. After the ceremony, light refreshments will be provided.

 The City of Henderson has announced its January Morning Meet Ups! Residents are invited to enjoy breakfast treats, ask questions, and learn about updates happening in their community.
 Battle of the Bands is back for its 5th year! Bands of all styles and genres are invited to submit their entries between January 14, 2025, and February 21, 2025. Top 5 bands from each category will be selected to compete in the final battle. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of local industry professionals.
 Unlock your creative side by entering the 16th Annual Teen Writing Contest at Henderson Libraries! With nearly three months remaining to participate in this always anticipated competition, there is no reason not to submit an entry. Put your thinking cap on and develop an original short story or piece of poetry, then check the complete list of rules before submitting it by February 28, 2025.
Clark County, Nevada residents in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate in the contest. Works of poetry and short stories will be accepted for consideration; however, only one entry per person in the provided category of their choice is allowed. Submissions must be completely original and unpublished - no school assignments will be accepted. Likewise, submissions that are deemed inappropriate, culturally inaccurate, or possess negative stereotypical characterization will be disqualified.
