The holiday season is officially here! With the conclusion of Halloween, we are officially in heading into the holidays and soon we will celebrate our festive spirit with our families.
With the new season being here, I would like to remind you to keep in mind of the watering restrictions for the season. Please take the time to check your irrigation systems for the proper watering schedule to be aligned with the seasons- September to October being assigned to 2 watering days per week, and November to February being assigned with 1 watering day per week.
Not sure what to schedule your irrigation system for the assigned watering days? Feel free to check your watering days and get information on seasonal watering restrictions at www.snwa.com.
As always, please feel free to contact me and my team by phone at (702) 455-3500 or by email at DistrictF@clarkcountynv.gov. You can also follow me @JustinJonesNV on Threads, Facebook, and Instagram to keep up with the latest events and news in the District.

On Wednesday, October 16, Team Jones and I along with LVMPD, and LVMPD's Special Victim Services Unit came together as we honored the lives of those affected by Domestic Violence. The month of October is officially designated as Domestic Violence Awareness Month nationwide.
As a memorial to the 34 victims that lost their lives due to domestic violence, we took the time to dedicate a tree at Desert Breeze Park and had each of their names etched on metal tags that were hung around the tree. LVMPD Undersheriff Andrew Walsh led the ceremony with a motivating and moving ceremony that had each of the names read out loud that lost their lives to Domestic Violence in 2023.

On Friday, October 18, Team Jones and I held a special ceremony to honor the winners of the park naming ceremony we held for the new park being opened in District F. The naming contest was held at Ries Elementary School in December of 2023 and we were excited to pick the winning name that paid homage to our state.
The name of the park that was chosen- Battle Born Park, was the creative idea of three talented students that came up with the name in honor of our state's motto. This creativity became the first time a park was named in reference to our own state. Congratulations to the three winners- Jayshalynn-Marie Alvaro, Jarrett Ilejay, and Tristan Aguilar for winning this contest!

Our outstanding group of motivated volunteers came together for a common cause to help keep our cherished community open recreation space clean.

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada is asking for community feedback on the draft Let’s Go 2050 regional transit plan, which reflects the valuable community input gathered earlier this year.
Let’s Go 2050 identifies future regional transportation projects that will receive federal funding through 2050, and we want to hear from the community one more time on the proposed projects and draft plan.
The virtual public meeting is open 24/7 through Nov. 12 where you can view and provide comments. Participants can enter to win one of two $100 Visa gift cards.
