Join Henderson residents in the Henderson Libraries ninth annual Crafting for a Cause program. During this special project, participants have the opportunity to pick up a free skein of yard and craft a knitted item for someone in our community who could benefit from a gesture of kindness.
The Gibson Library, located at 100 W. Lake Mead Parkway, serves as the home base for Crafting for a Cause. Beginning November 12, yarn can be picked up at this library during regular business hours. Volunteers then knit or crochet seasonal items, such as a scarf, hat, mittens, blanket, shawl, etc., and return the finished products to the Gibson Library Customer Service Desk by Friday, December 6 at 5 p.m.
Last year’s Crafting for a Cause enabled Henderson Libraries to donate 360 completed pieces, including hats, headbands, scarves, sweaters for children, blankets, mittens, and arm warmers, to local organizations. To learn more about this project, please visit https://hendersonlibraries.com/crafting-for-a-cause.
