February 2024
Dear District G Residents,
There is a lot going on in Clark County this month with "The Big Game" right around the corner. We have the opportunity to showcase our wonderful city with the entire world watching. I hope you are able to attend some of the NFL events being held around town in order to experience this phenomenon.
After years of planning, I am delighted to announce the opening of the EmployNV Career Hub at Whitney Recreation Center! Please join us on February 8 as we cut the ribbon to this exciting addition to our district. We will also be holding a Clark County Hiring Event immediately following the ribbon cutting. More details are below.
Black History Month is upon us and Whitney Recreation Center always has an educational and informative display. They also have numerous events all month long, including the Shades of Black event on February 24th. Check out the flier below for more information.
As always, do not hesitate to email me at DistrictG@clarkcountynv.gov or call my office at (702) 455-3500 with any questions or concerns you may have. You can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Drought continues to reduce Southern Nevada’s water supplies, and the community is being asked to do its part in helping to conserve precious natural resources. Removing unused grass helps saves water and many homeowners find cost savings on their water bills as well. The Southern Nevada Water Authority is making it even easier to convert unused grass by offering a temporary increased rebate of $5 per square foot of grass converted to water efficient landscaping. This enhanced incentive is available only to homeowners who complete landscape conversions by the end of 2024. This temporary increase is funded by a $24 million grant provided by the State of Nevada through the American Rescue Plan Act. For program conditions and to take advantage of this limited time $5 incentive, visit snwa.com.
